The MIPS (Merit-based Incentive Payment System) is one of Quality Payment Programs, which is intended to move Medicare Part B providers to a performance-based payment system. This program streamlines three Medicare programs - Value-based Payment Modifier Program, Physician Quality Reporting System and the Medicare Electronic Health Record Incentive Program (MEANINGFUL USE) - in a single payment program.
