  • Three new assessments are available under the Substance Use Screening category:
    – Fagerström Test for Nicotine Dependence (FTND)
    – Penn State Cigarette Dependence Index (PSCDI)
    – Penn State Electronic Cigarette Dependence Index (PSECDI)

  • Assessment scores are automatically calculated using predefined question and scoring mappings.

  • The corresponding dependence level is automatically determined based on the calculated total score.

  • The calculated score and dependence level are displayed when the assessment is saved.

  • Calculated results are stored with the assessment and remain available for future viewing without requiring recalculation.

  • Dependence levels are system-calculated and cannot be manually edited.

How It Works 

  • Navigate to the 10g Assessments module.

  • Open the Substance Use Screening category.

  • Select FTND, PSCDI, or PSECDI.

  • Complete the applicable assessment questions.

  • Save the assessment.

  • The system automatically calculates the total score based on the predefined scoring mappings.

  • The appropriate dependence level is automatically determined from the total score.

  • The calculated score and dependence level are displayed and stored with the assessment for future reference.
