How to install ActiveX Controls?

ActiveX controls are a small program that can be used to create distributed applications that work over the Internet through a web browser. Examples include customized applications for gathering data, viewing certain kinds of files, and displaying animation.
The ActiveX is an extension of Microsoft Windows and the Object Linking and Embedding (OLE) API. ActiveX applications are used mainly with Microsoft’s Internet Explorer web browser.
The ActiveX Controls are not installed on a PC, if the printing feature is working outside CureMD Application and not within the application.

Install ActiveX Controls

To install ActiveX controls follow the steps listed below:

  1. Go to “cloud2.curemd.com/cs” and download “All CureMD ActiveX” file.
  2. After downloading the file on your machine, run the setup file as an administrator, by right-clicking on it and selecting the “Run as Administrator” option
  3. Once the installation is complete login to CureMD Application and print a report.
  4. If you receive prompts while printing that means ActiveX Controls were not installed properly, so follow the instructions below:
    • Run Internet Explorer as an administrator by “right-clicking on the Internet Explorer icon on the Windows taskbar
    • Right-click again on the Internet Explorer icon
    • A pop-up will appear
    • Select the “Run as Administrator” option from the list
  5. Internet Explorer is now running in administrative mode, log in to CureMD Application and print a report.
  6. You might see some pop-ups, click on “Allow” every time you see a pop-up.
  7. After successful installation of ActiveX Controls, the printing interface will appear through which you would be able to print.

Error Handling

If you are seeing an error message while printing a test page that means there is an issue with the printer’s drivers.

  1. Printer drivers are normally available online, anyone can “google” the printer model and Install the drivers
  2. Reinstall the drivers by installing the downloaded file.
  3. After reinstalling the driver, try to print a test page as described above
  4. Now login to CureMD Application and print a report
  5. If the ActiveX Controls are not installed, please refer to the instructions mentioned in the ActiveX Installation section above
