How to Document Clinical Trial Drugs in Chemotherapy Manager?

Chemotherapy manager now allows you to record trial drugs along with all the necessary details.
To add a new Trial Drug, navigate to Settings > Trial Drug.

This takes you to a list page where all the trial drugs and their specifications are listed.

Add/Edit Trial Drugs

You can add a trial drug and its details by clicking on the Add button. Once you click on Add button, a pop up is displayed where you can enter the following attributes of a drug:

  • Drug Name
  • Route
  • Dosage Form
  • Generic Name
  • National Clinical Trial
  • Sponsor/MFR
  • Protocol No.
  • Package Size
  • Anti Neoplastic

Similarly, you can also edit, delete and refresh the records. ‘Log’ of all the trial drugs by clicking on the Log icon placed against each record can also be viewed. These drugs will be displayed throughout the system.

Chemo Plan screen also displays the trial drugs under Chemo Rx Order Drugs section.

You can add all the details of a trial drug just like all the other drugs.

Navigate to Patient > Chemo Admin, select a trial drug and click on edit.

A pop up is displayed. Here, the user can add all the details for a drug. Wastage will not be auto populated for trial drugs. The user can add it manually.

Mixing is not allowed for Trial Drugs.

Added trial drugs will be mapped throughout Oncology application where applicable except from those areas where NDC is required as trial drugs do not have NDC.
