How to Associate Flags with Drugs in a Chemo Order / Plan?
Some drugs can only be administered in a Hospital setting to carefully control all adversities that might occur during the drug administration. The system allows the user to flag such drugs for easier processing and identification.
In the Chemo drugs list section, hover the mouse on the required drug and click on the flag sign that appears. This opens the Drug Flags window.
Enable the checkbox for Home Health/ Hospital Administration Flag and enter any comments or instructions that might be required.
When the user clicks on OK, the H flag appears next to the chemo drug. A drug marked as “H” cannot be administered nor billed.
Drug Hold Flag check-box can be enabled when a drug is to be held. Holding a drug means the drug is part of the regimen but the physician does not want the drug given. Users can indicate whether to hold the drug completely or in what cycle days the drug is to be held and mark the reason.
Users can also add Caution Flags to add caution information to a drug order.
