How to Enable Refill Alert?

An email alert system can be used to notify a patient about the status of their prescription refill request. With this feature patients (associated with Patient Portal) receive an email once their prescription refill request has been accepted or rejected.

Settings > Practice > Patient Portal Setup > Notifications

Enable this email notification alert by locating and enabling a section named Medication Refill Request.

Whether a refill request is accepted or rejected, the corresponding template from this section is used to automatically notify the patients of their request status. Use Accept | Reject button to switch between their respective templates.
