A referral can be added at any time by editing an appointment. When a Referral is required by the insurance/payer, the letter “R” appears (in Red) next to the Patient’s name on the Calendar.
Follow the above mentioned workflow to open the ‘Edit Appointment’ menu. Click the () icon next to ‘Referral’ to add a referral.
Doing so displays “Referral Selection” pop-up. Here, user can select a referral from the list, add an Incoming Referral, Outgoing Referral, or Remove Referral.
Once the required referral has been added, the ‘R’ (which is in red by default) changes to green.
