How to Calculate Patient Liability?

Patient liability can be calculated on the basis of patient cost share percentage.
However, settings need to be configured for this feature. To see how to enable patient cost share percentage, click here.
Follow the above mentioned workflow to land on the ‘eSuperbill’ page. Fill in the required details and click ‘Save & Sign’.
Once the eSuperbill is signed, click ‘Create Charge’.
In the ‘Add/Edit Charges’ tab, the Patient/ Plan charges are calculated on the basis of the patient cost share percentage. If the Patient Cost Share % is 20.00, the patient has to pay $20 as the liability.

NOTE:
In case the charge is created without eSuperbill, the CPT’s Fee Schedule (FS) value is used as the cost sharing percentage.
