How Examination Type is Determined?

Patient > Clinical > Order & Results> Physical Exam

The examination type is determined by the information documented in the Physical Exam component.

There are four types of examination:

Problem focused: A limited examination of the affected body area or organ system.

Expanded Problem Focused: A limited examination of the affected body area or organ system and any other symptomatic or related body area(s) or organ system(s).

Detailed: An extended examination of the affected body area(s) or organ system(s) and any other symptomatic or related body area(s) or organ system(s).

Comprehensive: A general multi-system examination or complete examination of a single organ system and other symptomatic or related body area(s) or organ system(s).

User can enter details of a patient’s physical exam by going to Patient > Clinical and clicking on Physical exam link in the left navigation panel.

CureMD application has simple algorithms in place that process the identified information and then inform the user of the examination type.
