How Does the System Look up For the Drug Interaction Alerts?

Patient > Clinical > Medications

While prescribing medications, the system looks up for all the interactions against every drug that user selects. If drug interaction alerts are enabled and user tries to prescribe a medication, system prompts the user about all possible interactions with patient’s existing medications, diagnoses and allergies.

These interaction alerts have been updated such that they are easily distinguishable on the basis of type and severity.

User can also look up for the references by clicking on the icon highlighted in the figure above. If reference(s) for any of the interaction is present, system populates it in a tool tip.
At the bottom of the window, a note is displayed which informs the user about the developer/source of these interaction alerts.
