What is Meant by Referral Required?
Patient > Registration > Profile > Insurance
Referral details can be documented if ‘Referral Required’ option is selected in the insurance details. Follow the workflow above to land on the ‘Insurance’ page and check if ‘Referral Required’ option is selected or not.
Click on scheduler tab to schedule an appointment with the patient.

Note:
(R) is displayed next to the name of the patient when scheduled.
A message appears in case a referral is not provided when:
- The status of the patient is changed on the scheduler
- A charge is created
