How to Authorize a Provider for EPCS in CureMD’s Application?
Top Menu > Drop Down > EPCS Activation
Here, the following steps should be followed to activate EPCS for a provider successfully.
1. Enter NPI number for that provider and click on ‘Validate’.
2. Select the device. If the VIP access application is installed on the phone, the eRx Admin needs to select it from the dropdown menu.
NOTE:
In case the provider owns multiple token devices, these shall appear in the drop down menu. If the provider has a soft token (iPhone or android smart phone) or a hard token (small token key chain) device, the eRx administrator needs to select it from the drop down menu.
3. Enter the pass phrase that was created during the identity proofing process.
4. Finally, the eRx Admin needs to enter the 6-digit OTP code that can be extracted from a smart phone iOS or android or through a hard token device.
NOTE:
Please make sure that the Provider’s DEA number is documented on the Provider Profile.
CAUTION:
Only an eRx Admin can activate EPCS for a provider. CureMD Support Staff is not allowed to do EPCS Activation for the Provider.
