Global Block Scheduling Applied Across All Calendars

Settings > Practice > Global Block Schedule

What’s Newnew_symbol-1

When a user navigates to Settings > Practice > Global Block Schedule and creates a new global block (recurring or holiday), the system now applies the block to all existing provider/resource calendars that meet the block criteria. The block is applied even if its defined start and end times extend beyond the calendar’s standard working hours.

For any new provider/resource calendar created after a global block has been configured, the system automatically applies the same block if it meets the criteria. The application of the block is not limited by calendar-defined hours, ensuring that both overlapping and extended block times are consistently enforced.

When a global block overlaps partially or fully with a calendar’s working hours, the system marks all relevant time slots as blocked for that day. There is no requirement for the block’s start and end times to fit entirely within the calendar schedule.

This enhancement simplifies scheduling management by ensuring that recurring restrictions and holidays are universally applied, reducing the need for manual updates across calendars.
