How to Enter Diagnoses for Billing Purposes?
Billing > Professional > Charges > Custom Views > Today’s Unbilled > Enter Professional Charges
The Diagnosis Pointers are used to associate a Procedure (CPT) with a diagnosis that is treated during the visit.
Navigate to “Add/Edit Charges” page following the above mentioned workflow.
After each Dx is filled-in, a blank row is inserted below to allow as many diagnoses to be added as necessary. More than one Dx Pointer can be associated with a CPT Code.
NOTE: A diagnosis can be added either by typing in the code directly into the blank field box or by clicking on the Diagnosis link to search for a code and clicking on it once.
Procedure blank lines are also added when the last available line is filled.
NOTE:Like the Diagnosis, Procedure codes can be added either by typing in the code directly into the blank field box or by clicking on the Procedures link to search for a code and clicking on it once. Multiple clicks result in duplicate entries.
