All patients aged 18 years and older with a diagnosis of major depressive disorder (MDD).

Patients with a suicide risk assessment completed during the visit in which a new diagnosis or recurrent episode was identified

For Denominator:

All patients aged 18 years and older with a diagnosis of major depressive disorder (MDD) are included in the denominator of this measure. Following workflow can be used to document diagnosis of MDD: Patient > Provider Note > eSuperbill. The documentation of the first encounter takes place when one visit code gets attached with the patient’s eSuperbill/ charge.For Numerator:

Patients with a suicide risk assessment completed during the visit in which a new diagnosis or recurrent episode was identified are included in numerator. You may use following workflow to document risk assessment:

Go to Patient > Clinical > Evaluations > Search Suicide risk assessment (or any appropriate assessment) > Select performed.
