How to Select Path while Adding Dermatology Procedures to a Provider Note?
Patient > Provider Notes > Current Provider Notes
Follow the above mentioned workflow to land on the ‘Provider Note’ screen. From the left tree menu, select ‘Dermatology Procedures’.
From the ‘Path’ tab, user can select the path following which the dermatology procedure is to be performed.
The ‘Type’ drop-down includes the Biopsy types. In this drop-down, the Biopsy types have been updated to ‘Tangential’, ‘Incisional’, and ‘Punch’.
The updated values act as the associated codes for dermatology procedures whereas the types used previously (Curett, ED & C, Punch and Shave) act as the base codes for patients to be charged accordingly.
Once the path is defined, click ‘Save’ to save the changes made. Clicking ‘Accept’ populates the added dermatology procedures on the provider note.
