What are Medical Billing Requirements in G0 Code?

A provider can only be certified/recertified (G0 179/180) once in sixty (60) days to provide services to the same patient.

Providers have must have a face to face encounter with a patient in the preceding 6 months in order to bill CPO codes G0 181/ G0 182.

G0 182 is only used to bill patients which are enrolled in a hospice program.

CPO codes can be billed under supervising practitioners/ MDs, whereas mid-level nurses, and PAs can provide CPO services to patients.

Provider/mid-level nurses need to furnish 30 minutes in one calendar month in order to bill any CPO code.
