How to Add a New Trial Drug?
New medical drugs have to be tested to ensure that they work, and are safe, before they can be prescribed. If a provider is participating in a clinical trial, these drugs are made available to the patient and have to be entered manually in the chemotherapy manager.
These drugs are not part of the drug database because they are not commercially available. Once the trial drug is manually added to the database, it can then be used in a regimen/treatment plan for other patients on the same trial.
To add a new drug to the database, follow the workflow above to open the Trial Drug pop-up.
Here, enter the trial drug details and, when done, click Save.
