Which Units can be Used for the CPTs for Billing Purposes?
Billing > Professional > Charges > Custom Views > Today’s Unbilled > Enter Professional Charges
On a charge, users can select two types of units for the CPT codes they want to bill.
UN: Standard Unit
MJ: Anesthesia Unit
To select units for the CPT codes, follow the above mentioned workflow and land on “Add/Edit Charges” page.
If a procedure is performed multiple times in a day, then user increases the units and application automatically calculates the charges.
If a procedure is performed on multiple days, then user changes the End DOS and system automatically calculates units and the charges by subtracting Start DOS from End DOS.
