What is a G0 Service?

Specialty > House Call > G0 Services

A house call facility is for those patients that require health care services at their homes, Assisted Living Facility, Skilled Nursing Facility and Nursing facility etc.
CMS and HHA have enabled the providers to register with HHA to be able to provide their services to the housecall patients. Providers not only have to be certified with HHA but also revalidate or recertify themselves in order to continue rendering their services to the housecall patients.

The CureMD application has a dedicated module for House Calls that practices can use to keep track of the time spent by a provider at a particular patient’s location and charge the Insurance company accordingly.

House Call

The name of this service is ‘G0 Service’.
Application users can benefit from the G0 Services of the House Call module by following a set of simple steps:
User can search for the patient using the search fields.

Select the G0 code and provider. User can select the Location and Minutes/Units (It is important to add details in the Notes section otherwise a prompt message appears).
Click on ‘Save’ icon to save the information. A record is saved for the G0 Service rendered by the physician. By clicking on the icon, the G0 code can be moved to the ‘Approval’ section.

House Call- Select G0 Code

The system restricts users from rebilling a patient for G0 service with CPT codes G0179 or G0180 within 60 days.

This helps in avoiding denials.

An error message is displayed if the user attempts to sign a G0 charge with G0179/G0180 codes for a patient who has already been charged for the same CPT codes in the last or next 60 days.

Error Message

The error message also contains the most recent service for which the patient was charged.

NOTE:
Once a G0 code has been signed, it cannot be deleted.
